Where a fact comes from

Governed knowledge is the graph of the organisation's approved facts — people, projects, decisions, and how they relate. Every fact keeps where it came from, and Ailu checks that its source still says it.

A fact's passages

  1. Each passage read: its collection, the character range, the date it was read and its SHA-256 fingerprint.
  2. Its state: the source still says it, it changed since — the fact stays, read the source again —, or the document is gone — the fingerprint stays, the text is gone.
  3. « Open the passage » goes through Knowledge, which applies its own reading rule.
checkAilu reads the passage again inside your organisation and compares its fingerprint: nothing of the text leaves the source.

Proposed facts

A fact extracted from a source waits for a human review before it enters the graph; an accepted fact keeps its provenance. A fact added by hand, or extracted before Ailu recorded its sources, says so.
